The Bonita Foundation is the main holding entity of the Bonita Family. The Bonita Foundation should not be confused with the Bonita House Foundation which is focused on managing the private affairs of the Bonita Family (ie. the private affairs of “the house”). The Bonita Foundation is the parent organization of the Bonita House Foundation.
Among the many holdings of the Bonita Foundation is Missoline, a conglomerate developing and managing strategic assets in over 10 industries around the world. The Bonita Family is very hands-on with the management of Missoline, which is the flagship organization of its portfolio that has been founded by the family. The family can also have a more passive approach with certain portfolio companies and let these companies operate for the most part independently.
As part of our broad Christian mission, we follow a triangular strategy composed of a corporate strategy, a religious strategy and a political strategy. While these three strategies actually constitute a single integrated strategy, we make it a point to keep religion, politics and business strictly separated. As such we do not do things such as advocating for a political agenda through one of our businesses, even though at a higher level our various platforms fit into a single integrated strategy. For more information on our strategy, see the dedicated page.
Beyond its commercial endeavors , the Bonita Foundation also nurtures high-impact political and community projects. As part of our long-term strategy, we have recently started to consolidate these various efforts under two newly created platforms: the Organization For the Development of Nations and the Bonita Church.
While the Bonita Church is a global platform, the Organization For the Development of Nations (ODN) has a particular focus on Latin America and Africa. The ODN seeks to pick up where the OECD failed by proposing development and governance models being adapted to the culture and realities of subsaharian and Latin America countries. These innovative models are grounded on Austrian humanist and free-trade principles and adapted to local realities and local culture.
The goal of the Organization for the Development of Nations and of its main subsidiary, the Organization for Africa and Latin America Development (OFALAD) is to become the equivalent of the OECD for countries of these regions by 2030. ODN's approach consists in innovating by breaking with copy-and-paste governance methods. In this context, in addition to creating policy frameworks, ODN also provides innovative technological enablement services to governments enabling stability and continuity even in challenging political environments. These technological services are informally called Government-as-a-Service. Indeed, in addition to providing timely access to cutting edge technology, through this technological platform, the ODN supplies a governance workforce and an operational infrastructure scalable on demand in the cloud which is unique. This approach augmenting the breakthrough governance paradigms articulated by the ODN is already receiving a warm welcome.
Indeed, the breakthrough governance paradigms and value propositions championed by the ODN are already being welcomed by challenceries and governments before even the official launch of the organization. The unique technological capabilities of the Bonita Foundation, the deep local roots of our management team enabling an essential trust, and our unique ability to articulate breakthrough paradigms and operate at an advanced strategic level are some of the key ingredients of what is already promised to be an outstanding success.
The Organization for the Development of Nations also provides political research and advisory services to the Viva political platform which is also owned by the Bonita Foundation. Viva is a political platform of a new kind learning from the transnational vision of sovietic platforms and building upon this understanding to serve the cause of democracy and freedom and materialize unprecedented outcomes. Viva proposes sound and systematic, yet easy to digest and appealing solutions to the most difficult political challenges faced by societies.
Viva promotes freedom and democracy by putting truth at the heart of governance and development models, even if this means assuming what may at first be uncomfortable truths to then persuade with the truth. For systems based on fictions and being entertained by virtue signaling and governance theater have their hands tied by their misrepresentations as they cannot use sound tools and policies lest the house of illusion they have created collapse. For this reason, Viva is not afraid of for example explaining that inequality is not a problem (and may even be necessary) as long as the poorest person is given enough to live decently.
But Viva is special in that its foremost concern is always protecting the most vulnerable, which gives the platform an unusual political DNA bringing together in a compelling, convincing and appeasing way what are often seen as extremes. This allows Viva to tackle even the most complex development challenges. At the same time, Viva's mission is to allow countries to transition from illusion-based governance models to truth-based governance models in a peaceful and disruption-free way before the current houses of cards collapse under their own weight, which is already starting to happen. To make it happen Viva can leverage its unique ability to articulate appealing and groundbreaking policies championed by charismatic local leaders.
As Christians, we strongly believe in the verse: "And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free" (John 8:32). This verse defines our political identity and gives us direction. It decides the tools, methodologies and strategies we employ. And fighting for truth and freedom is a more difficult task than what most people understand. For while light easily defeats darkness, at some point someone needs to carry the lamp, and light itself needs to meet darkness.
In this context, Viva learns from the past and strategically leverages the opportunities enabled by environmental factors and new technological realities and Viva integrates them with the holistic infrastructure of our organization to transform the world at an unprecedented scale by materializing unprecedented outcomes.
